Key responsibilities:

  • Manage complex project/s throughout the global enterprise, leading project team members in the design, development, and delivery of technology and business solutions
  • Work closely with the sponsors, resource managers, vendors, business and IT team, senior management and executives across different time-zones.
  • Build schedules, establish communication plans, manage risks/issues, and measure or report project results
  • Facilitate creative efforts to resolve issues and develop quality deliverables to achieve corporate objectives
  • Partner with stakeholders and teams to prioritize project requirements and issue resolutions to ensure successful delivery of project scope
  • Provides a single point of contact for project/s
  • Drive projects from original concept through final implementation, and smooth handover to on-going support team.
  • Drive the requirements gathering, defining functional/systems dependencies and managing the system/(s) implementation.
  • Responsible for the supervision of work stream leads and to ensure that all projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements.
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including key-users, cross functional departments, external consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Lead project team members located in multiple countries
  • Work in close collaboration with global PMO to ensure projects execution follows and adhere to ASM project delivery methodology (IT-PLC).
  • Supports global PMO to develop the Project Management (people, process, templates etc) capabilities in ASM

Details:

  • Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports
  • Monitors and control (Manage) the project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external partners on technical and non-technical matters.
  • Conducts regular weekly and monthly project meetings and responsible for project deliverables.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and key success criteria.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems
  • Ensure timely escalations of road-blocks to the sponsor, PMO and project steering committee
  • Provide technical/analytical guidance to project team when required.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have (education & experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, or related discipline with project management focus
  • Master's Degree in one of the above discipline would be an advantage
  • Strong Project Management experience, with PM Certifications (PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent).
  • Expert knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools would be a bonus
  • At least 15 years working experience, with last 8 years in active project management roles
  • Minimum 5 end-to-end IT (SAP) project implementation of global scale leading multi-disciplined cross-functional teams as the project manager
  • Experience and good knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes of complex industrial equipment.
  • Experience in development of business cases and managing projects of multi-million dollar size.
  • Experience in working on global multi-cultural projects and successfully delivering projects in overseas locations
  • Experience in managing large complex environments with multiple applications versions & tools.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, customer or stakeholder relationship management, issue and risk management, project and organizational change management and IT vendor and partner management
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and architectural technology concepts and components would be an advantage
  • Expected traveling: minimally 20%
